Surface Tension (Kontakt Instrument, plus ACIDized WAV files and Apple Loops)

More Info
NEW! Surface Tension is a unique sound design tool that allows you to quickly and easily create a huge range of rich, organic, complex and unusual sounds based on samples entirely derived from various forms of used and abused electric guitars.
The Kontakt instrument combines a state-of-the-art user interface with samples and impulse responses to give you a highly flexible tool for creating a huge variety of beds, drones, pads and FX. It comes with over 200 presets but of course you make your own presets from the samples provided - there are over 29,000 different combinations available - and then you can manipulate the sounds any way you wish with the amazing interface that offers untold amounts of sonic manipulation.
Playing techniques used include violin bows, screwdrivers, e-bow, extreme detuning, striking, bottleneck, feedback, distortion, scraping and plucking.
Then, a whole range of digital processes was applied to take these sounds into a deep electronic realm whilst still retaining the complexity of raw organic recordings.
The other key part of the instrument is the bespoke impulse responses, which are used to create unique reverbs of great character within Kontakt’s convolution reverb engine. To maintain the depth and organic detail, these impulse responses were derived from real world sources, circuit bent FX units and vintage delay lines.
"Surface Tension's presentation is slick and the sounds it delivers are absolutely stunning. Rated 9/10" - Computer Music magazine, UK.
Surface Tension is made up of the following resources.
- Surface Tension Kontakt Instrument with custom GUI and over 200 presets.
- Audio loops. Available as AIFF Apple Loops or Acidized wav files.
- Impulse responses for use with any third party convolution reverb.
You can also use the raw audio as building blocks for your own beds, drones, hits and FX whereas the impulse responses can be loaded into any number of commercially available convolution reverbs to make a large library of extreme reverbs.
NOTE: You must already have a FULL VERSION of Native Instruments Kontakt (version 5.6.0 or later) in order to use the SURFACE TENSION Kontakt instrument. It is not a VST plugin or standalone instrument.

Extreme Vocal Environments (EVE) is a highly creative sample-based sound design tool that uses the human voice as its start point to create soundscapes and ambiences to inspire musicians and sound designers alike. EVE is a unique product that allows you to quickly and easily create dense and complex ambiences based on vocal sources, ranging from musical pads through to extreme sound design to give you almost limitless sound design capabilities.
Using vocal samples as EVE’s sound-source means you are easily able to create textures rich in detail and emotion . As well as tonal samples there are also sound design-based samples which enable you to create a variety of ghostly, disjointed effects suitable for darker projects.
This creative tool will prove extremely useful to anyone interested in creating sonically interesting textures, from modern film, game and TV composers and sound designers to dance and electronica acts and lovers of Boards of Canada style lushness.
EVE is made up of the following elements:
  • Extreme Vocal Environments Kontakt Instrument with custom GUI and over 150 presets (requires Kontakt version 5.5.1 or later)
  • Audio loops. Available as AIFF Apple Loops or Acidized wav files.
  • Impulse responses for use with any convolution reverb.
The Kontakt instruments combine a state-of-the-art user interface with the loops and impulse responses to give you a highly flexible tool for creating a huge variety of beds, drones, pads and FX. It comes with over 150 presets.
You can also use the raw audio loops as building blocks for your own beds and drones, whereas the impulse responses can be loaded into any number of commercially available convolution reverbs to make a large library of extreme reverbs.
EVE was created by Si Begg who also produced our products "Extreme Environments" (the prequel to this product) and "Aftershock - Extreme Audio Cinematics". Si Begg also created our highly successful titles Distorted Dancefloors and Electro Glitch Essentials both of which got fantastic reviews in the top pro-audio magazines.
"Fuelled by 100 human voice loops and 85 impulse responses, and including 150 presets. The samples are indeed extreme, from crackling glitches and granulars to alien burbles and creepy whispers, and the interface lets you mix three at a time, pitchshifting, timestretching, filtering and modulating them one-by-one before they meet at the convolution reverb and master filter... The results are beautiful" - Computer Music magazine, UK.

Other Worlds - Cinematic Textures (WAV, ACID, Kontakt, EXS24, HALion, Reason NN-XT, Apple Loops)

More Info
Created by the producer of our highly acclaimed Haunted Ground sample library, OTHER WORLDS is a huge 4.6Gb library delving into the exploration and creation of cinematic textures.
Atmospheric, organic, soothing, melodic, evolving, morphing, dissonant, distorted, piercing, chilling, eerie, driving, dark, noisy, bright, floating, spacious, overwhelming...
Whatever the flavour, Other Worlds brings you a vast collection of cinematic textures and atmospheres created by sound designer Adam Pietruszko. Utilising a combination of different synthesis techniques from analog subtractive, through digital FM, to physical modelling and more, all combined with intricate effects and reverb programming, the results are a library full of evolving and spacious sounds that will literally fill your productions.
The timbres range from modern sci-fi, out-of-this-world, electronica layers and effects, through eerie stingers, sweeps and howls, all the way to horror-filled, suspenseful atmospheres and melodic sequences for action/drama. Also included are ‘musique-concrete’ and avant-garde experimental textures together with analog modular synthesis sounds reminiscent of the great 70s movie soundtracks.
This library is aimed at providing instant inspiration to the contemporary cinematic soundtrack and sound effects producer as well as raw material for experimentation in any genre of music. Use the sounds out-of-the-box as background layers for motion picture scoring applications or load them into your favourite sampler to chop up, transform, reverse, filter and make them a musical base for your compositions. Anything is possible and encouraged...
REVIEW: "When it comes to cinematic sample libraries, Adam Pietruszko is a top notch sound designer that has a great imagination of translating vision into sound. For example, his acclaimed 'Haunted Ground' is a phenomenal sample pack chock full of jaw-dropping sound design and content... And just like his other library, 'Other Worlds' is nothing short of impressive. The modern electronica style is well represented with lots of weird drones, odd pads and dissonant sounds that were applied with over-the-top processing. If you’re into cinematic soundtrack, ambient, drones and experimental music, this pack is highly recommended." - Sound Bytes Mag (soundbytesmag.net).

LEGACY - over 1.5Gb of sounds inspired by the classic sci-fi movies of the eighties. Legacy consists of a vast array of atmospheres, cinematic FX, drones, impacts, rises and suspense-filled ambiences. The electronic sounds, textures and FX recall the retro gaming and 80s cinema aesthetic of such soundtracks as AlienBlade Runner and Predator. However the sound design techniques and recording quality are most definitely state of the art.
All these sounds will work brilliantly in soundtrack and gaming genres such as horror, sci-fi, thrillers and mystery, as well as adding interest to any contemporary music production.
The library contains 390 instruments in Kontakt, EXS24, HALion and NN-XT formats as well as samples in Acidized Wav and AIFF Apple Loop formats all recorded in pristine 24bit audio. All the samples in this library are 100% original and royalty-free for your musical use without any additional licensing fees. LEGACY was produced by Gareth Hester for Zero-G.
"If you want to add something a little other worldly as ear candy to a music production -  Legacy will give you that sonic universe in a very convenient and inexpensive format." - Sound on Sound magazine (UK).
"There are some really good, wildly, imaginative sounds included in this massive 1.5 GB library. I especially love the Atmospheres folder as it includes samples to inspire you to make music. This library is clean and well recorded. Samples are mostly long one-shots. The processing of sounds is top-notch and the sound design techniques applied is most definitely very professional. Gareth Hester, the producer, did an exceptional job in creating this usable library that I’m sure will find a way in plenty of studios. Overall, Legacy is a sort of homage to many 80’s sci-fi film soundtracks. Very original and brilliant." - SoundBytesMag.net

Whilst Cinematic IDM is ideal for composers of film, TV and game soundtracks who want to create exciting soundscapes for action sequences and high-tension sequences as well as for scenes of suspense or horror, it is also equally useful to producers of dance music who want to give their creations an epic cinematic feel.
The library consists of a huge collection of electronic beats and drum loops recorded at 90, 120, 140 and 170bpm as well as a vast array of atmospheric sounds, full of intricate, rich and evolving textures, atmospheres, ambiences and one-shots of varying lengths. The atmospheric textures and shimmering ambiences can build even higher tensions and create dark but beautiful thrills and chills in any composition.
The library contains 800 samples in Acidized Wav and AIFF Apple Loop and Rex2 file formats all recorded in stunning 24bit audio. Kontakt, EXS24, HALion and NN-XT instruments are also included. All the samples in this library are 100% original and royalty-free for your musical use without any additional licensing fees.
FIVE STAR AWARD
"The blend of sound design elements, and modern electronic rhythms works very well and, at this price, some cutting-edge and ultra-cool electronic music cues are just an instant away for almost anyone… really excellent atmospheric ambiences… I can see contemporary film or media composers lapping this up… There are some great electronic drum beats with lots of interesting percussive elements and unusual electronic sounds. Many of these are almost a complete musical bed rather than just a conventional drum loop. However, blend one of the loops with an element from elsewhere in the library and suddenly you go from pure sound design to electronic music. Rating: 5/5" - John Walden, Sound on Sound magazine, UK.
"It's a tightly focused library that succeeds in its genre-splicing mission admirably - Rating 9/10" - Computer Music magazine, UK

HAUNTED GROUND - Ambience & FX from Abandoned Places, by Adam Pietruszko.
Haunted Ground is an avant-garde sound library inspired by the unique character of abandoned places. The structures that man left to crumble as time ticks away, now brought to life in this collection of samples. Created by sound designer Adam Pietruszko specializing in visual and aural documentation of forsaken buildings, to provide you with the atmosphere and spirit of these forbidden locations. This library took a year to plan, prepare and record. Carefully choosing locations as recording sites and inspiration was taken from countless photographs, schematics and abandoned structure history resources.
The mood of abandoned factories, warehouses and installations has been recreated via means of analog and digital synthesis, along with the sounds captured on-site via field recording, to bring you closer to the exploration, all properly mangled and warped, for that particular eerie feeling.
The sounds of this library give insight into the afterlife of these seemingly dead and quiet buildings. For beneath the rubble, rust and peeling paint, there lies another dimension. The ghosts of workers and inhabitants roam the rooms, halls, corridors and attics, longing for the life that had been taken away from their homes. The machines, furnaces and tools remember their duties, but their shift is over. Delve in the echoes of the past and explore their legacy and hidden nature.
This library is aimed at cinematic and game sound producers, looking to bring a touch of reflection, suspense and nostalgia into their works. Also a contemporary electronic musician will find many inspiring sounds to exploit.
All sounds have been captured in 24bit, 48kHz audio and are split into 4 categories, for easy construction of your own custom abandoned places sound scenes: Entities and Spirits, Forsaken Technologies, Exploration Echoes, and Forgotten Atmospheres.
"A very successful collection… An inspirational place to start all manner of dark work.. Very high quality recordings.. Full of warped atmosphere… Sufficient (but not overpowering) effects to take everything beyond its constituent parts to the other side of eerie… You could use some of the sounds as incidental effects across many other genres of music… There are even musical ideas that you could use to underpin tunes."
(Music Tech magazine, UK).

"A large and meticulously engineered package of cutting-edge sound design samples that's perfect for media work. Also, having individual sampler patches for each sample is a major bonus. An excellent resource for anyone wanting fresh sounds for a soundtrack, or for dance music producers looking for sophisticated sounds and FX. Rated: 9/10." - Music Tech magazine, UK.
"The massive Bass Effects, energy-building risers and high impact Hits are immediately ripe for plunder, but there's endless sound design potential in the rest of this 2GB tour de force, too. Rated 9/10." - Computer Music
"It's an intelligent-sounding library that the pro media and experimental musicians can benefit from. There's a level of sonic consistency amongst the 594 WAV samples included. Zero-G and Xfonic present RISE DESIGNER - Cinematic Build Creator (Kontakt 5 instruments with custom interface). Produced by Dan Graham, who also produced the extremely popular prequels Impact DesignerWhoosh Designerand our Animato, Spiritoso, Luminoso and Perpetuo titles.
RISE DESIGNER starts with the best rise sounds you will ever hear then makes your life very easy by putting them in sync with your projects, adding endless variety and making them very easy to control.
Many existing ‘riser’ libraries will offer one of these twin evils: (1) great sounds which are limited, inflexible and can’t be repeated too many times without sounding obvious and stale, or (2) a flexible but overcomplicated interface with uninspiring raw waveforms like white noise and saw tooth waves which require a lot of work for not very much in return.
Enter Zero-G’s beautiful new Rise Designer with world-class raw sounds plus an extremely flexible, simple interface, which will give you thousands of possibilities for combining and sculpting those sounds.
The incredibly high quality raw audio material was painstakingly crafted by Professor of Sound Design and Hollywood trailer sound professional Alessandro Camnasio, whose credits include the trailers for Transformers: Age of Extinction, Captain America - The First Avenger, THOR and many more.
Included are over 90 presets themed in sections such as Clean, Dark, Vast, Distorted, Dead Stops and Falls. Added to this is a GUI which allows for total sonic manipulation and lets you mix and match different sounds, change their volumes, randomize the sounds, change the length of the rise, the pitch, EQ, the envelope shapes, filters and send effects (delay and reverb) to make the aural possibilities truly infinite.
NOTE: A full version of Kontakt (version 5.3.1 or above) is needed to use Rise Designer. It will not work with the free product "Kontakt 5 Player" which is only a free demo version of Kontakt!
FIVE STAR AWARD"A great tool for a media or film composer to have at their disposal. In addition, these sounds would work brilliantly in a straight musical context… Rise Designer sounds great; a niche product, perhaps, but a very good one. RATED: 5 STARS" - Sound on Sound (Rating: 5/5)

Zero-G and Xfonic present Whoosh Designer (Kontakt 5 instruments with custom interface). Produced by Dan Graham, who also produced the extremely popular prequel Impact Designer, and our Animato, Spiritoso, Luminoso and Perpetuo titles.
Whoosh Designer makes the best whoosh noises you will ever hear! Whooshes are short noise sounds that give an instant rush of movement, excitement, anticipation and release. Placed around an impact sound they add massive size and power. Placed under a drum fill they add an almighty rush and a powerful transition from one section to another.
Whooshes have the power to transform all sound and music into a higher dimension of drama and animation. Sound design, trailer music, epic music, film scores, EDM, hip-hop, indie, rock; whatever you are doing, adding whooshes will make your sound more exciting.
Whoosh Designer is a Kontakt Instrument* that combines amazing raw sounds, incredible simplicity, a high degree of playability and a very high level of customisation. Every Whoosh is made up of 3 elements - ATTACK, PEAK and DECAY. These 3 elements are the initial attack, the intense peak of the whoosh and the long release of the sound. This Whoosh Designer instrument quickly crossfades between 3 different sounds in order to produce sonic complexity and a very wide range of possible variations.
There are many millions of possible variations so you will never run out of sonic possibilities. We’ve included over 160 presets themed in sections such as Clean, Detuned, Distorted, High Speed, Reverse Stops and Rhythmical. Added to this is a GUI which allows for total sonic manipulation and includes pitch, drive, compression, pan, filter, delay and reverb controls to make the aural possibilities truly infinite.
"The obvious application is for supplying an instant sense of movement from the tiniest robot to the sleekest of warp-driven space ships. In that context Whoosh has just the whoosh you need. However, it's not just a sci-fi tool and can also create sounds that are more organic" -  Sound on Sound magazine, UK.
NOTE: A full version of Kontakt (version 5.3.1 or above) is needed to use Whoosh Designer. It will not work with the free product "Kontakt 5 Player" which is only a free demo version of Kontakt!

"This is a sound designer's dream… delivering an endless and interesting array of edgy textures, drones and washes" (Computer Music magazine, UK).
This sound library was created by Si Begg, the same producer who created our highly successful titles Distorted Dancefloors and Electro Glitch Essentials both of which got fantastic reviews in the top pro-audio magazines.
The main feature of Extreme Environments is the Kontakt instrument which combines a state-of-the-art user interface with the loops and impulse responses to give you a highly flexible tool for creating a huge variety of beds, drones, pads and FX. It comes with over 150 presets.
The core of the instrument is the three channels where you can select any one of the 142 loops. For each channel you can then control the pitch, time stretch, amplitude & filter envelopes, saturation and reverb send. All three channels are then mixed together and put through master high pass and low pass filters, then finally a limiter.
The other key part of the instrument is the convolution reverb, which any of the three channels can be sent to. You can choose any one of the 86 bespoke impulse responses, ranging from straightforward to extreme sound design. This adds great depth and atmospheric detail beyond the standard reverbs you might usually come across.
The combination of all these features makes for an almost limitless palette of sound creation. In addition the EXS24 instruments, Apple Loops, Space Designer presets and Channel Strip Settings give Logic Pro X users the option of creating their own combinations of sounds and FX within Logic. Also, the raw audio loops can also be used as building blocks to create your own beds and drones.

EPICA is the latest virtual synth from Zero-G, produced by Sam Spacey who also produced our highly acclaimed PHAEDRA synth.

"EPICA absolutely shines, shimmering and beautiful, inspiring at almost every turn. Rated: 10/10 and awarded the Editor's Choice Award" (Music Tech magazine, UK).

"Highly recommended. FIVE STARS out of five" (Sound On Sound mag, UK).

EPICA comes with a stunning interface powered by the latest Native Instruments Kontakt software that gives the user amazing sound-shaping capability. You only need the FREE Kontakt 5 Player to use EPICA, but it is of course also fully usable with the full version of Kontakt 5.
Over 17,000 24bit samples have been hand-edited, looped and multi-layered to produce an unsurpassed richness and authenticity of sound that will have your audience gasping in appreciation.
Epica comes with over 600 patches of pads, leads, basses, sequences and fx and of course it has the sound-shaping capabilities for you to create much more. We really believe this is the best sounding virtual instrument we have yet created.
Epica's samples have all been recorded through an equipment chain of 100% boutique hardware with no plug-ins used in the creation of the source sounds. We wanted to create a library that offered a fresh palette of sounds which were rich in timbre and had their own character so that would set your music apart from the masses.
The User Interface was designed to give you full control over a huge amount of sonic sculpting options without slowing down the creative process. It is both quick and simple to use but devastatingly powerful when you want to create your own presets… which you will find yourself doing within seconds. Most virtual synths have lots of gimmicks but need a lot of work to make them fit into a mix and often sound weak and artificial. EPICA however, sounds great straight out of the box. There’s no need to reach for that EQ, compressor, or other plug-in, EPICA just sounds so good on its own!

PERPETUO Live Flute Phrases (Kontakt instruments)

Zero-G and Xfonic present PERPETUO Live Flute Phrases. Following on from our extremely popular Animato, Spiritoso and Luminoso titles, the addition of Perpetuo forms a quartet of titles dedicated to introducing more realism to sampled instruments.
Performed by a world-class flute and piccolo player from the Liverpool Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and recorded in Liverpool's famous Parr Street studios, Perpetuo: Live Flute Phrases is an 8Gb collection of thousands of live recorded looped phrases compressed down to 4.6Gb using Kontakt’s lossless compression technology.
Despite recording only one player, the instrument cleverly layers up to 3 different performances in real time for the effective sound of a flute trio, or you can dial it down to the sound of a duo or solo flute.
And, despite the sixty-two Kontakt instruments being made from pre-recorded phrases, Perpetuo remains highly controllable and flexible. This has been achieved by recording the same patterns across a wide pitch and dynamic range with many scale variations, by choosing patterns that blend in particularly well to a wide variety of musical styles, and then by allowing you to automatically sync to the tempo of your projects with a wide variety of rhythm and scale types all controlled with key switches. Dynamic levels pp to ff can be smoothly crossfaded by mod wheel, the ensemble size can be zoomed from solo to three players, and two mic positions (close and room) can be chosen or blended.
Perpetuo gives you the advantages of fluidity and realism of recorded patterns and phrases and yet also many of the advantages of the flexibility of a standard orchestral library. Although it sounds great alone, Perpetuo works particularly well when blended with other premium orchestral sample libraries as a way of introducing a new layer of realism into the sound.
"..very flexible pre-recorded phrase and pattern library that works great on its own and, importantly, blends well with other orchestral libraries… An excellent tool for creating rhythmic patterns both for upfront minimalist flute ensembles and for subtle background work in cinematic-style productions." - Music Tech magazine, UK.
"..a seamless continuation of the strengths of the first three parts of the series [Animato, Spiritoso, and Luminoso]… provides the flow and realism of live-rehearsed phrases, paired with enormous flexibility… great musical value in use, and can make sample-based orchestral arrangements impressive." - BEAT magazine, Germany.

Zero-G and Xfonic present LUMINOSO Live Violin Phrases. Performed by Martin and Kate Richardson, two world-class violinists from the Liverpool Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and recorded in Liverpool's famous Parr Street studios, Luminoso: Live Phrases is a 15GB collection of thousands of live recorded 6-bar looped phrases compressed down to 7GB using Kontakt's lossless compression technology.
Despite recording only two players, the instrument cleverly layers up to 6 different bars in real-time for the effective sound of a 12-piece string section, or if you wish, you can dial it down to the sound of a solo violin..
Luminoso bridges the gap between premium string libraries which have excellent control, but can sound artificial on certain passages (such as runs, arpeggios, fast rhythms), and 'pre-recorded melodic phrases' libraries, which can sound dazzling on first listen but have little useful control and can grow tired quickly.
REVIEW: "A wide variety of rhythms has been captured (everything syncs to host tempo) and the inclusion of fully keyboard-extended patches sweetens the deal. Beautiful. Rated: 9/10" - Computer Music magazine
Despite being made from pre-recorded phrases, Luminoso remains highly controllable. This has been achieved by recording the same patterns across a wide pitch and dynamic range with many scale variations, by choosing patterns that blend in particularly well to a wide variety of musical styles, and then by allowing you to automatically sync to the tempo of your projects with a wide variety of chord, rhythm and scale types all controlled with key-switches. Dynamic levels pp to ff can be smoothly cross-faded by mod wheel, the ensemble size can be zoomed from solo to 12 players, and two mic positions (close and room) can be chosen or blended.
